Start Here!

Hi! I’m Jenny!

I’m ALL about booking last minute flight tickets for a weekend getaway or crossing off a dream destination from the bucket list! This blog covers the raw joy of exploring different cultures, expat living, as well as embracing a life that is always full of gratitude, self-awareness, and childlike wonder (aka wisdom).

In an age of self-absorption, mass consumption, selfies, and social media we are losing touch with things that matter: being true to oneself, being present in the moment, building community, and gratitude. In this blog I hope to evoke authenticity in what I show and share “real” experiences that are not photoshopped. If this resonates with you come and join me on this journey!

You’ve found the right place if you:

  • HAVE AN INSATIABLE LOVE OF TRAVEL
  • ARE AN AMATEUR PHOTOGRAPHER
  • LIKE EXPLORING INTERNATIONAL CUISINES AND COOKING

About Me

My love for travel began when I was five years old on my first ever flight and has never left me! Born and raised in New York City by Korean and Japanese parents I have always been fascinated by the vibrant confluence of cultures.

I’ve been blessed to be able to live in multiple countries so far in my lifetime and hopefully counting! For my day job, I work as a foreign policy and international trade professional in Washington D.C., which is a fascinating way to pursue my curiosity for the greater world and its people. By night, on weekends, and on my time off travel is the name of the game!

Before moving back to the U.S. in 2020, I’ve had the pleasure of living and working in Japan, Singapore, Italy and Portugal. Living in Asia, I traveled all over the region, enjoying ramen, oden, laksa, bun cha, gado gado, green curry, and much more! In sunny, Lisbon, Portugal I thoroughly enjoyed quality petiscos (Portuguese tapas), local wine and a slower pace of life. I’d like to think that my travels have provided me with a profound appreciation for the art of living and that my outlook on life is made up of a kaleidoscope of stories, lessons, and perspectives from all of my travels. I identify deeply as a global citizen!

The past few years have taken me to: Japan, South Korea, China, India, Hong Kong, Tibet, Indonesia, Malaysia, Cambodia, Thailand, Vietnam, the Maldives, the Netherlands, Iceland, Italy, and in the process of exploring Europe and the U.S. further. Looking forward to sharing many more adventures with you!

xx Jenny
